Dynetics, a Leidos Company, is seeking a talented Mid-Level Data Scientist to join our team. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, we provide responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

This position requires an understanding of statistical learning, machine learning fundamentals, and reinforcement learning, coupled with a solid base of programming experience. The successful applicant will work closely with a team of highly technical multidisciplinary engineers and scientists to develop data-driven models for real-world aerospace and defense applications as well as research and expand on current machine learning capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates with a bachelor's degree and 4 years to 8 years or candidates with master's degree and 2-6 in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Candidates must have relevant experience in applying supervised learning and reinforcement learning to real-world applications.

Strong proficiency with Python.

Solid technical communication skills and an ability to work in both collaborative team environments and independently.

Must be a resident of the north Alabama area or be willing to relocate to work onsite at the Huntsville, AL office.

Other Qualifications

Master's degree is preferred but not required.

Working experience with PyTorch.

Active security clearance is desirable.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
