Position Description

Are you a recent graduate or have you’ve gotten a few years of experience under your belt as a software developer? Our Sensor Systems Analysis and Engineering Department (SSA&E) is looking for developers with experience to serve as a C++ Modeling & Simulation Developer. If this, is You? APPLY

Dynetics has an unmatched reputation in terms of technical competence and offers a great life-work balance, with excellent benefits. Though a portion of the work in this position will be unclassified, allowing for some flexibility of remote work, the software development for this position is primarily done in-person for development in classified systems with the benefit of higher degrees of interaction and interconnectivity within the team leading to better results and a better overall work experience.

We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, aerospace, cyber, space, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.

You will join a diverse team of junior to senior software developers, engineers, and scientists to create unique solutions for complex problems. Our team solves important problems that make a difference and support our customers in the current and future defense of our nation; primarily in the areas of sensor integration, testing, characterization, modeling, simulation, data analysis, and algorithm development for EO/IR. Specific applications of this include:

· Aircraft survivability (infrared countermeasure program support and testing)

· Missile Seeker / Sensor Development

· Image processing, statistical analysis, and machine learning algorithm development

· Fire Control Sensor / Imaging Development

· Hardware-in-the-loop

· Target detection, tracking, and discrimination

You’ll work within an established software development team, contributing to SWIL and HWIL M&S development efforts focused on EO/IR imaging systems. You’ll add functionality to existing M&S frameworks, design experiments to test the impact of this functionality, and analyze simulation outputs.

The results of your work will be presented to decision makers and will have a direct impact on design decisions surrounding imaging sensor systems.

Joining our team offers the opportunity to work with experts in their field and grow your career in an area that is appealing to you. You will quickly become an integral member of our team and be given the opportunity to take responsibility for challenging problems of your own. Because of this, we seek team members that are driven and engaged in their work while demonstrating high character, given that you will often be working on sensitive and unique problems which require a high degree of trust from our customers.

In addition, this position also allows opportunities to take on greater roles and responsibilities such as task lead, team lead, and technical lead—or opportunities for growth into management roles.
