Position Description

Currently Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Radar Electronic Protection Engineer to promote study of threat radar system electronic protection (EP). With offices across the Unites States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides alert, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.

The Engineer will be expected to direct the EP subgroup associated with all-source experts of foreign radar systems. The Engineer will be accountable for assessing EP features such as track-on-jam, counter-deceptive techniques, clear-channel search, sidelobe cancellation / blanking, counter-towed-decoy features, DRFM identification and mitigation techniques, and counter-noise techniques. The Engineer will coordinate with other subgroup experts and will be tasked with identifying and assessing EP performance.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidate will possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institute or a related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years overall relevant exoerience with both hardware- and software-based EP techniques in response to common electronic attack methods.
• In addition, the Engineer should have:
  • Prior history with government customers and/or large prime contractors.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of briefing high-level customers and writing technical reports.

Candidate must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.

Other Qualifications

Preferred knowledge / skillsets:

• History performing foreign weapon system study
• Past work developing EP performance prediction models using engineering tools such as MATLAB or Python.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
