Dynetics’ Missile and Aviation Systems Division is seeking a Software Architect for development of software applications and tools for manned aircraft, unmanned systems, and weapons systems. This role includes work on the following software aspects: software requirements, architectural and interface design, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), high-level design implementation, and code reviews. This position will be the main bridge between the software team(s) and system engineer(s). As a part of this team, you will also be tasked with guiding and reviewing the detailed design and implementation produced by the other software teams to ensure they all can fit together, and the overall design remains coherent.
This position involved open, direct communication with customers, stakeholders, and team members to refine software component requirements and designs. The position offers opportunities for direct contribution to the software quality, test plan, iteration plans, release plans, and on-schedule implementation and cost.
Software is developed in an innovative, technology driven self-disciplined team environment using the Agile Scrum framework within a tailored CMMI-based software process.
Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Software engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a mastery in fundamentals of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
Candidate must have demonstrated strong competency in software development using C, C++, C#, Java, or Python programming language.
Candidate will participate in and contribute to software architecture, code reviews, software estimation, and software integration activities.
Candidate should have experience in model-based development.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama area.
Preferred candidate will have a master's degree or better in a related discipline.
Experience with MATLAB is a plus.
Preference shown to candidates with experience supporting MSIC with an active TS security clearance.
Proven ability to work well with cross-functional teams, showing excellent verbal and written communication skills, is preferred.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top-Secret Clearance.
