Position Description

Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Engineer in this role will work with automotive customers, as well as with Dynetics team members to develop and support Dynetics automotive test products used in facilities across the United States and some international locations. Candidate will develop, maintain, and support software applications running in production-critical environments. This position requires an understanding of basic hardware interfacing, as well as the ability to assist troubleshooting system problems remotely. Skills used to perform this work include software programming, computer networking and networking related concepts, and hardware interfaces. Automotive Diagnostics, Internet software development or databases skills are desirable.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.

Candidate will have 0-3 years of experience.

Knowledgeable in

• C/C++
• Javascript web application frameworks (Vue or similar)
• Event-driven applications
• Git version control system
• Windows IIS web server
• Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code IDEs
• Strong debugging experience with remotely deployed applications
• Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP, UDP, FTP)
• Ability to develop and maintain object-oriented, reusable software

Technical writing and communication skills required.

Work will be supporting our Automotive customer base.

Candidate must be comfortable interfacing with customers and field engineering personnel.

Able to travle 10% of the time.
