Position Description

Dynetics Technical Solutions (DTS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking talented CNC MILL Machinist to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The CNC MILL Machinist must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts. Ideal candidate should also have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine Mill tools. Experience in the manufacturing of large aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium, is a plus. 5-axis milling and/or programming with Surfacam is also a plus. Applicant must be able to work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidates will have an Associates degree with credentials verifying formal training in machining technology experience OR in lieu of degree, a High School diploma/GED and at least (5) year of machine tool technology
• Candidate must be able to work 1st shift with work hours from 6:00a-4:30p
• Candidate must be able to work a 4-days per week, 10-hours per shift work schedule (4/10 Plan)
• Candidate must be able stand for long periods of time and lift up to 35 pounds
• Candidate must be able to work overtime when required
• Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Other Qualifications

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:

• 3 axis CNC mill machining experience
• 5 axis CNC mill machining experience
• (1) two years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool
• SURFCAM experience
• Experience machining in a proto type/developemental environment

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
