Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking talented Summer Interns to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Dynetics' Threat Intelligence and Exploitation Department is actively seeking college students (Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Grad) to work at our Huntsville facility over the summer break (May, June, July, and August depending on student availability). This position will allow students the opportunity to experience hands on technical work in the area of model and simulation development of foreign radar and missile systems in support of the United States Intelligence Community and/or Test and Evaluation Community. Projects could include threat model development such as radar, sensors, or weapons; model integration into simulation environments; or tool development for visualization, integration, or characterization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Student must be working toward a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Math, Physics, or equivalent degree from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • Student must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Overall GPA of 3.5 or above is required.
  • Student must be a willing to work in the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Students with the following experience are highly desired:

  • Experience with model and simulation development
  • Experience with software development using C/C++, Python, or other relevant languages
  • Experience with Matlab and/or Simulink

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
