Dynetics, Leidos Group is seeking a talented Senior-level Electrical or Computer Engineer to join a diverse team creating unique solutions for complex radar system problems. Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT Solutions engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields.
This position is for a senior-level electrical or computer engineer within the Flight Systems Department as part of the Missile & Aviation Systems Division. Engineers in the Flight Systems Department provide solutions to complex, technical problems involving analysis, design, flight testing and/or autonomous solutions of various types of radars, missiles, space systems, hypersonic, acquisition systems, fixed & rotary wing aircraft, and more.
Engineers in this position work on design and analysis of various components of ground-based or air-based radar systems. Areas of focus within this line of work include, but are not limited to:
- Antennas and Transmit/Receive Modules
- Transmitters
- Receivers and Exciters
- Signal Processors
- Electronic Protection
- Waveform Analysis and Scheduling
- Radar Mode Logic and Supporting Algorithms
Engineers in this area perform design work and are also responsible for documenting their designs and reasoning through report writing and the occasional presentation to customers. This process is largely collaborative between the engineers, customers, and some end users in the modelling and simulation community.
Senior level engineers in this group commonly perform roles in a technical leadership capacity. Most often this is as a project technical lead, mentor for junior employees, or as program technical oversight. Senior level engineers also commonly help with setting the overall technical direction for the group, applicable to current and future projects.
