Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Senior Threat Systems Software Developer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The RF and EW Threat Systems Development Department has a diverse portfolio of projects and programs which specialize in foreign threat radar systems, RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators, and open air radar development. The candidate selected for this position will support projects for the Defense Intelligence Community, Air Force, and large prime contractors.

The Threat Systems Software Developer will develop both hard real-time and soft real-time software models. candidate must have the ability to understand and work with existing models in development, as well as possess strong development skills to meet evolving requirements in support of Rapid Threat Deployment (RTD). ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of Engineering, Production and Program Management Analysts is essential.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or computer science (or related field) from an ABET accredited institute.
• Demonstrates strong competency with four (4) + years of relevant software development work history in C++ (or other object oriented language) or have an MS in a relevant field and two (2) years of experience.
• Demonstrates a good understanding of proper software development life cycle stages.
• Self-starter that can establish priorities, resolve immediate issues, and coordinate with management on complex problems.
• will have an active Secret Clearance (or higher).

Candidate will live in Huntsville or be willing to relocate to Huntsville Alabama area

Other Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of radar fundamentals. Familiarity / experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Python and Unix is preferred but not required.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
