Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Senior Electronic Products Test Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing, documenting, and executing test processes and procedures for electronic and electromechanical products.

Candidate will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement test procedures and test platforms for a wide variety of hardware. Systems to be tested include analog, mixed-signal, and RF applications. This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate will support tasks such as review and approval of engineering drawings, bills of materials, and creating work instructions; participation in design reviews; and design and execution of manufacturing test activities.

Candidate will also work with suppliers to manufacture test hardware.

Candidate will be required to work closely with design teams to ensure design for testability has been considered.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate will have a BS degree in engineering, or an applicable science, from an accredited university, and have at least 5 years of test engineering experience on programs designing and building electronic hardware and software to government specifications, or similar.
  • In lieu of a degree, the candidate must have a high school diploma/GED and 10 or more years of applicable experience.
  • Candidate must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area (or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area).
  • Candidate must be able to document test hardware designs using schematic capture programs.
  • Candidate must possess a strong competency in designing test setups or equipment using the LabVIEW programming environment or MATLAB.
  • Candidate must be able to analyze the test results and present issues to manufacturing and/or engineering teams.

Other Qualifications

  • Preferred candidate will have experience with testing of electronics used on launch vehicles, targets, or missile components. Ability to provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates, Basis of Estimate (BOE) documents, and other documents used to support proposal efforts is a plus. Experience with Costpoint Material Planning software and/or Agile engineering design data management software is a plus.
  • Preference shown to candidates who have current National Instruments LabVIEW (CLAD, CLD, CLA) and/or MATLAB certifications.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
