Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented RF Electrical Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The RF and EW Threat Systems Development Department has a diverse portfolio of projects and programs which specialize in foreign threat radar systems, RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators, and open air radar development. The candidate selected for this position will support projects for the Defense Intelligence Community, Air Force, and large prime contractors.

The RF Electrical Engineer will provide solutions to complex, technical problems involving analysis, design, and testing of various types of threat-representative emulators. Engineers in this position work on design and analysis of various components of ground-based radar systems. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to Transmitters, Receivers and Exciters, Signal Processors, Electronic Protection, Waveform Analysis and Scheduling, and Radar Mode Logic and Supporting Algorithms.

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical Engineering Technology and two (2) + years of relevant history is needed.  An MS degree in a relevant field can be used in lieu of two years of experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of High Frequency RF or Radar Electronics is needed.
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical and computer engineering concepts, including signal processing.
  • Strong technical communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • will have an active Secret Clearance

Candidate will live in Huntsville or be willing to relocate to Huntsville Alabama area

Other Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of radar fundamentals.
  • Familiarity in any of the following tools is preferred but not required:
    • C++ language (or other object-orientated language)
    • experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS),
    • Python and Unix is preferred but not required.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
