Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Applied Aerodynamics Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.


Individual will be involved with wind tunnel testing and flight performance evaluation of candidate airframe designs through analysis and/or flight testing. Primary disciplines involved: aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and flight performance.

Basic Qualifications

Position requires BS in Aerospace Engineering with 0-5 years experience in aerodynamic design, modeling, and analysis of missiles and fixed wing aircraft, as well as wind tunnel testing and flight performance evaluation. Position requires aerodynamic design, math modeling, and analysis of missiles and fixed wing aircraft using theoretical, semi-empirical,
and computational methods.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills are required, as the successful candidate must function effectively in a team environment and interact clearly with program stake-holders.

Must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the
Huntsville, AL area.

 

Other Qualifications

  • MATLAB, FORTRAN, and CAD skills are desired.
  • Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) a plus.
  • Candidates with BS Aerospace Engineering degree and more than five years of experience will also be considered.
  • MS Aerospace Engineering degree is preferred.
  • Current active DoD clearance is desired.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
