Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Electromechanical Material Planner to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The primary responsibility for this position will be to source material for low-volume programs and prototype projects. candidate will be interfacing with manufacturers and distributors for quotes, selecting the best supplier, and then working with Dynetics’ Purchasing department to place a purchase order. candidate will be expected to track orders and expedite as necessary to meet program requirements. type of material is expected to be electro-mechanical, but additional experience with electronic material would be a plus. This position will require frequent coordination with project managers, engineers, buyers, inventory managers, and suppliers to ensure that material will be available when needed and that proper documentation is in place for orders and proposals. In addition to the primary responsibility, additional responsibilities will include ensuring material certifications have been received and are available as needed, kitting material, and managing ISO9001/AS9100 processes within our department.
Additional important duties include gathering quotes, historical data, and other backup to support proposal estimates and justification per Government requirements.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or purchasing activities, including experience obtaining quotes and interacting with vendors.
Candidates must have a Bachelor degree. (Five years of relevant experience may be used to meet the degree requirement.) Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Windows and Office programs.
Must have demonstrated ability to handle stress and to manage time to meet multiple deadlines with minimal oversight.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and resident of the Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
