Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Computer engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex aerospace problems. The candidate will be expected to use proven techniques with software and hardware to define, design, implement, integrate, and test practical solutions.

Products developed by the candidate may be in application software, embedded systems, instrumentation, user interfaces, middleware/transport layers, back-end development, or in a combination of any of the above. Familiarity and desire to work with hardware is required in order to design and integrate appropriate software solutions. Candidate will be able to make meaningful contributions to multiple efforts, and may interface directly with customers to develop solutions. The team uses Agile (Scrum) and traditional development styles.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. Candidate must show the ability to work in a collaborative environment, and interface with customers, technical, and non-technical stakeholders on a regular basis.

  1. Candidate must show experience in software-hardware integration, and be proficient in software development using sound software engineering practices.
  2. Candidate must be proficient in more than one language (C, C++, C#, or similar) for desktop and/or embedded applications.
  3. Candidate should be familiar with development and tool chains on Linux and Windows OS.
  4. Candidate must be a US Citizen and be located in (or be willing to relocate to) the Huntsville area.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, interest in working in a multi-disciplinary environment team members, and enthusiasm for team success.

Other Qualifications

  • Experience with unmanned aircraft and/or robotics is desired.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and code generation, S-function wrappers Practical experience in sensors and instrumentation would be valuable in this role.
  • Practical experience with digital communications protocols; real-time development with multi-threading & synchronization; and software safety.
  • Practical experience with tools and techniques for unit testing, requirements development & management, design, build and release, regression testing, configuration management, collaboration & issue-tracking is desired.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
