Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Senior Systems Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The position will independently manage and perform systems engineering tasks in a dynamic environment to develop a variety of products in support of DoD and commercial programs. Candidate will work closely with customers and design teams to develop products following the systems engineering lifecycle.
Candidate will be responsible for defining requirements, supporting the system architecture definition & design development, and the validation & integration for hardware/software products. Programs are typically fast paced and support multi-disciplines such as complex electronics, mechanical structures, real-time software, safety, and reliability engineering. This position will identify applicable requirements and ensure requirements are satisfied while avoiding requirements creep.
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, 5 to 20 years general engineering experience and at least 4 years of systems engineering experience.
Candidate must be familiar with the DoD acquisition life cycle.
Candidates must have experience supporting DoD or CMMI Lvl 3 programs.
Applicant must be proficient in MS Office tools and have demonstrated experience effectively communicating in a team environment.
A detailed understanding of the top-down systems engineering process for architecture development and bottoms-up verification should be demonstrated. Candidates should have working knowledge with DoDAF and the design artifacts required from DoD customers. Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of requirements/interface development experience using a requirements management database tool (DOORS, Visure, etc.). Additionally, the candidate should have specific experience performing risk management, safety analysis, test planning, and/or proposal development.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
