The BD Lead for the Product Development and Manufacturing Division will be the focal point for BD activities within the division and will support the Division Manager in tracking and managing new business opportunities to include re-competes, follow-on work, and new requirements with existing and new customers.
BD Lead responsibilities include identifying, qualifying, capturing and proposing new business opportunities with emphasis on mechanical and electronic system development and manufacturing projects. Candidate must be capable of direct interaction with prospective customers to understand technical requirements, issues, and price sensitivities and preparation of whitepapers/pre-proposal materials to communicate potential solutions to customer requirements. Frequent travel will be required.
The Division BD Lead will also be responsible for managing the division’s new business pipeline, forecasting and managing B&P budgets, representing Dynetics to new and existing customers, negotiating internal/external teaming agreements, developing and presenting capability briefings, representing the division on corporate strategic opportunities, developing strategic plans and coordinating with Corporate Development. Successful candidates will represent Dynetics in a positive, ethical manner in all dealings with customers and the community at large, and project professionalism and cooperation.
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with at least 3-years experience supporting business development activities, and must have experience in capture or execution of hardware development or manufacturing programs.
A Bachelors degree in a technical field is required with preference for a degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering.
Candidate should have excellent and effective interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to represent Dynetics hardware solutions to government and commercial customers.
Candidate should have the ability to effectively and successfully lead multiple, concurrent business development efforts in a fast-paced, highly technical environment; the ability to plan, delegate, integrate, and communicate capture plans to a proposal team; and the ability to communicate effectively with executive management and technical staff.
Candidate should also be a self-motivated leader and team player. Prior experience preparing large, firm fixed price proposals for large aerospace prime contractors is highly desired.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
