Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) will work closely with a senior manufacturing engineer to design assembly processes for electronic products. This position will require working with a multi-disciplinary team consisting of electrical and mechanical design engineers, test engineers, quality engineers and various manufacturing operations personnel. The ME will participate in product design reviews and provide design-for-manufacturability recommendations. The ME will develop detailed work instructions for assembly operators and therefore must be able to interpret assembly diagrams and mechanical drawings.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's of Science in an Engineering field or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Candidate must have at least (1) one year of Electronic Manufacturing Engineering experience.

In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 7-years’ applicable experience environment is required.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience interpreting assembly and mechanical drawings

Candidate must have demonstrated experience of design for manufacturability principles and concepts.

The position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

 

Other Qualifications

Preferred candidates will also have experience and/or working knowledge with:

  • CAD tool, creating design drawings
  • Assembly of munitions or other safety critical products.
  • Lean principles, DFM, and measuring and/or improving assembly efficiencies
  • Manufacturing experience with printed circuit board assembly or electronic/mechanical assemblies

Candidate must demonstrate an understanding of

  • FOD prevention
  • Mechanical Design
  • Electronic Principals
  • OSHA defined safety and ergonomics

 

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
