Position Description

Observation Without Limits (OWL), a Dynetics company, is expanding its critical infrastructure security technology business in the northeast U.S. to better serve the utility, airport, rail, petrochemical, oil and gas, and other commercial and public sectors with our family of GroundAware® radar-based surveillance sensor systems. We are now looking for a senior-level sales and business development professional, who lives and works in the northeastern US, to join our growing team.

As NE regional manager, the ideal candidate must work proactively to understand and address customers’ needs in the region, while driving the sales process from beginning to the end, with a clear understanding of how to achieve both initial and follow-on sales. Direct experience with selling through value-added reseller (VAR) partners, as well as directly to end-customers in critical infrastructure sectors, is key to success. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are a must, as is a demonstrated ability to contribute to growth in sales and maintenance of strong relationships with customers and partners today and down the road. A background in the security technology industry and an existing list of prospective customers who are likely buyers of our products would be of significant value to the ideal candidate.

  • Own the overall health and well-being of assigned VAR and customer accounts throughout the sales and customer lifecycles
  • Act as OWL’s primary point of contact with VARs and customers in the NE region
  • Work closely with OWL Customer Care and technical teams to ensure the success and satisfaction of VARs and customers
  • Organize regular VAR and customer meetings to discuss their requirements
  • Resolve problems and handle complaints in a timely manner
  • Identify new potential VARs and customers
  • Ensure budget and time requirements are met
  • Stay up-to-date with new features and product launches
  • Establish best practices
  • Monitor and report on sales performance analytics
  • Suggest innovative ideas to increase sales and improve customer experience

Basic Qualifications

BS degree or higher in business, marketing, or other relevant field with 7+ years in sales and business development of high-tech products into critical infrastructure, government, or other sectors where complex sales process required 

Live, work, and have established relationships in the northeastern US region, defined as from the Virginia/Maryland/DC area, to the Mid-Atlantic, through New England.

  • Proven work experience as a sales account executive, working with C- and senior-level management within VAR and customer organizations
  • Hands-on experience with customer service, preferably working with high-tech solutions
  • Ability to grasp VAR and customer needs and increase engagement with both
  • Demonstrated ability to give online and in-person presentations and product demonstrations
  • Solid knowledge of SalesForce.com CRM software and Microsoft Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and time-management skills
  • Flexibility to travel 50% of the time

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
