Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Radar Software Developer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The candidate will be expected to design, develop, and optimize software for use in applications such as radar, digital data links, and weapon systems.IND3
-Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.3 GPA or higher and a minimum of two (2) years of experience with software engineering.
-Candidate must be prepared to demonstrate all or portions of the following:
Fluency with C and/or C++
Experience with Linux and RTOS (real time operating systems)
The ability to organize and marshal small teams of developers to a task
Familiarity with an iterative software design process, such as Agile and/or Continuous Delivery
Practical experience with automated software testing, including Continuous Integration systems, and code review processes
Competence with version control systems, such as Git
-Candidates must have good verbal, written, and visual communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
-Some travel and field test support will be required. Radar equipment setup and teardown at test sites will be required. Candidate will be required to climb stairs and perform light lifting (up to 30 or 40 lbs.)
-Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Experience with the following tools, concepts, and products is a plus:
Digital data links
System performance optimization
GNU/Linux operating system
VxWorks operating system
Matlab or Python
-Candidates are encouraged to provide either verifiable contributions to open-source projects or original software "code samples."
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
