Dynetics Technical Solutions, Inc. (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, Inc. The Strategic Programs office is seeking a qualified Flight Termination Engineer for its hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The successful candidate will serve as a Flight Termination Engineer that will handle all aspects of flight termination systems (FTS) and range safety of Hypersonic Glide Bodies (HGB). The candidate will support assessment and design of FTS test equipment, review HGB system documentation to assess application specific FTS circuitry, and flight termination receiver testing in accordance with RCC-313. Candidate will review and modify FTS related work instructions in support of HGB production to include resolving data gaps and deriving requirements. Support testing of Autonomous Flight Safety System related equipment. Assist in procurement preparation for component manufactures to include parts management, quality, documentation, and test requirements.
Provide supplier surveillance during HGB production and testing and manage non-compliance reports. Support/oversee development of test equipment and test processes as well as review test data to include setup/operation of test equipment and possible testing at environmental test labs.IND3
A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field from an ABET accredited school is required. Candidate should have at least 10+ years of relevant experience.
The following skills/abilities are desired:
Experience with RCC-313, RCC-319, RCC-321, and RCC-324
Experience with flight termination receivers, safety systems, power systems and RF systems
Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of HGB flight computer components
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
The ideal candidate would have experience in missile electronics/avionics/environmental testing and have a current DoD Secret clearance.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
