Position Description

Dynetics Technical Solutions, Inc. (DTS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dynetics, Inc., is seeking a talented Welder to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Welder will produce precision pipe and structural weldments from a variety of engineering materials. Must be capable of certifying to AWS and ASTM Section IX standards to include but not limited to GTAW, GMAW and FCAW processes. Candidate must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints and technical instructions and fabricate holding tolerances in accordance with engineering data.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

Candidates must have at least (5) five years of relevant welding and fabrication experience within the AWS and/or ASTM Section IX welding standards.

Candidates must have demonstrated experience reading and interpreting drawings/documents such as operating instructions, work instructions, and blueprint data.

Candidates must pass the DOT physical to operate company vehicles.

Candidates must be to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Candidates must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

 

Other Qualifications

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:

  • Trade school expereince within the welding curriculum
  • Welding certifications

 

 

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
