Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking talented Imaging System Engineers and Analysts to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Engineer or Analyst in this role will support imaging system data collections and analysis of that data. Candidates should be familiar with basic imaging systems, either visible or infrared; designing data collection activities using those systems; and analyzing the results, in part through custom-created software and scripts. Candidates will work with optical engineers, system engineers, and test engineers in this role, and will be called upon to help direct these activities.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited university, and must provide evidence of a strong academic record.
Applicants with 3+ years of related experience will be considered for this position.
Candidate must have experience in a programming or scripting language such as C++, MATLAB or Python, and that experience must involve data analysis and reduction.
Candidate should be a motivated self-starter and problem solver, with experience executing in multi-disciplinary teams, and should be able to provide direction to junior engineers and analysts.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must have good communication and collaboration skills, the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists, and the ability to lead technical efforts.
Experience performing image analysis using ImageJ is a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
