Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Journeyman Infrared Sensor Scientist to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
Candidate must be capable of analyzing various forms of imaging sensor data and developing required software to perform the analysis. Candidate will work closely with system engineers, and test engineers. The candidate will perform data reduction and analysis of laboratory and field test data collected during captive flight, free flight, guided weapons evaluation, and other modeling and simulation data.
Candidate must be capable of hands-on sensor operation in field test environments. The candidate will support 1-2 field data collections per year.IND3
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's of Science Degree or higher from an ABET accredited school in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer), Physics, Math, or Computer Science with 2-5 years of analytical and hands-on imaging sensor experience.
For candidates with 3 years of work experience or less, preference will be given to those with GPAs higher than 3.5.
The candidate must have experience in Matlab or Python.
The candidate must have experience with and enjoy working both independently and collaboratively with a small team.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Image Processing and Image Analysis skills are desired.
Experience at DoD test ranges is strongly desired.
Programming experience in C/C++ is desired.
Experience performing analysis with ImageJ would be a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
