Dynetics Technical Solutions, Inc. (DTS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dynetics, Inc., is seeking a talented Manual Machinist to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Manual Machinist must be capable of reviewing technical data, selecting the appropriate tools and equipment, and then, setting up and operating mills and lathes and/or manual machines to produce production parts. Candidate is expected to follow all safety regulations, keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area(s). Candidates must be able to perform other shop duties as needed to complete assigned tasks. Other duties would consist of moving parts and raw materials using fork lifts, hand trucks, and carts.IND2
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED, (2) two years of technical school and have at least (3) years of manual machining experience OR Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED and have at least (5) five years of manual machining experience.
Candidate must be able to read and interpret written work instructions and blueprints.
Candidate must be able to quickly and efficiently set up, and operate Saws, Lathes and Milling Machines to produce production parts, molds, fixtures, etc.
Candidate must be able to verify parts prior to inspection.
Candidate must be able to work with little supervision, from shop drawings, and engineering sketches and verbal instructions.
Candidate must be able to routinely lift objects up to 35 pounds.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference shown to candidates who have demonstrated experience using hand tools and power tools to match drill for assembly of aerospace parts or fixtures.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
