Dynetics is seeking a talented Software Developer with an interest in real-time, distributed software design, development, and maintenance to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The developer will be working with a small, highly technical team in rapid prototyping of Unmanned Aircraft Systems Command & Control (UAS C2) protocols and capabilities as well as the development and maintenance of tools and simulators supporting interoperability assurance and testing of UAS C2 capability. Emphasis is placed on the use and incorporation of existing and leading edge technologies to provide cost-effective and timely solutions to our customer.
The position requires a self-disciplined and motivated individual with good people skills and strong technical interests/capabilities. Individual will be part of the team developing new programs and applications as well as performing enhancements to existing applications.IND3
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited school in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, Computer Engineering or related field;
Or Associates Degree with 4 years of relevant experience;
Or HS diploma with 6+ years relevant software development experience.
Candidate must have a demonstrated programming knowledge using Java (preferred) or C# in non-trivial applications.
Candidate must have a basic understanding of network protocols, concurrency control, and asynchronous communications.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Experience developing and/or integrating distributed system software components is a strong plus.
Experience with autonomous systems or machine-based learning is a strong plus.
Experience with model-driven software development is a strong plus.
Familiarity with Unmanned Aircraft Systems or STANAG 4586 is a plus.
Examples of programming completed as part of the candidate’s undergraduate or graduate degree program, or as developed and maintained for hobby/recreational purposes, are highly desired for review and evaluation (e.g., links to personal GitHub account are acceptable).
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
