Dynetics is seeking a talented Maintenance Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. Maintenance Technician will perform multi-craft maintenance on all facility building components with major emphasis on heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), boilers, lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, and ice machines. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in all season and all types of weather; may also be exposed to high noise levels from tools and equipment; may also be exposed to high voltage electricity, heights, and confined spaces.
Individual will interact with supervisors, staff, vendors, and public using a positive collaborative approach. must be able to problem solve and engage necessary staff/supervisors to address emerging facility issues.
High school diploma or GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship,
In lieu of completed apprenticeship , 4+ years of relevant experience in the maintenance field.
-Valid Alabama driver’s license.
-Possess or have the ability to obtain universal refrigeration license.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/move up to 60 pounds and be required to use appropriate equipment for anything over than 60 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job the maintenance technician is frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, climb ladders, and work in secured areas.
Individual must be able to demonstrate the following:
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction/monitoring; sound judgement and decision making capabilities are essential.
General knowledge in repairs, installation, modification, and maintenance of plumbing, line voltage and low voltage electrical systems, mechanical equipment/HVAC systems, and maintenance trades.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to operate computers, equipment controls, and learn specific software programs.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
