Position Description

Dynetics is seeking a talented Mid-Level Structural Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Structural Analyst will support the Dynetics Space Division in the development of aerospace flight products and support equipment. The candidate's primarily responsibility includes structural analysis of hardware, assemblies and complex systems. The position requires an understanding and application of analytical methods, finite element models and simulations, and other analytical tools to produce models and perform analyses for a variety of aerospace related products. This includes performing hand calculations as well as detailed stress analyses utilizing standard industry software programs. The analyst will be a member of a larger development team supporting product design cycles from concept development through product implementation.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Candidate must have at least three (3) years and no more than ten (10) years of direct experience performing structural analysis.

Candidate is required to have proven working knowledge of Femap, NASTRAN, Abaqus and/or ANSYS software.

Candidate must be able to write technical reports, prepare summary presentations, and to present results to a multi-disciplined team.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

 

Other Qualifications

Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Preferred candidates will also meet some of the following:

  • Have experience supporting NASA or other aerospace projects.
  • Have experience performing analysis on Flight Hardware and/or Ground Support Equipment within the aerospace industry.

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
