In anticipation of NASA awarding the Human Landing System (HLS) contract in the near future, Dynetics Space System Division is seeking qualified engineers and analysts to support NASA programs; including the history-making Human Landing System that will put the first woman and next man on the Moon. We are seeking a talented Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) Lead to join a diverse team in support of the development of a Human Lander System that will take us back to the surface of the Moon by 2024.
The S&MA Lead will support the Dynetics Space Systems Division with development of space products and systems with primary responsibility for managing safety and mission assurance resources, products, and processes to develop, manufacture, and operate the system. The position may lead S&MA Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and manage within technical, schedule, and budget constraints. Candidates will work with suppliers to ensure tasks are completed on time and budget and achieve technical objectives. Candidates will serve as the day-to-day technical interface with the customer for the IPT’s area(s) of responsibility. Candidates will report to program leadership and will provide regular informal and formal status on IPT progress. Candidates will identify and communicate issues and recommend solutions.
The S&MA Lead responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's of Science or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least ten (10) years of safety and/or quality assurance experience
Candidate must have at least five (5) years as a team lead.
In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, an Associate's Degree with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of S&MA work experience is required.
Candidate must be able to write comprehensive technical reports and present results to multi-disciplinary teams and customer stakeholders.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience supporting, leading, and motivating interdisciplinary teams.
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in an Engineering field or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
