Position Description

Dynetics Inc. is seeking talented AIT Technicians to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the U.S. engaging in the intelligence, missiles, aviation, space, and cyberfields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions.

The AIT Technician will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of test stands, fluid flow systems, and ground support equipment and for the fabrication, assembly, and test of aerospace development and flight hardware. The individual will support the build and usage of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical test systems to provide the pressures, temperatures, and flow rates required to perform critical tests—such as for a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) facility—and will support the manufacture, assembly, test, and delivery of test articles and production hardware . The position requires outside work in all weather conditions and regularly requires overtime. The individual will support various projects in the Space Systems Division involving diverse space technologies, subsystems, and systems.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

Candidate must have at least three (3) years of hands-on, hardware experience directly related to propulsion and testing.

Candidate will be required to read and understand engineering drawings and written work orders, and data inputs of defined process criteria listed in shop floor traveler(s)/router(s).

Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of stainless steel fittings (AN, Swagelok, NPT, SAE, and Autoclave) and have the ability to cut, bend, flare, and assemble stainless steel tubing and fittings.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience with cutting, and fabricating aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.

Candidates must have demonstrated knowledge with electrical and mechanical system troubleshooting.

Applicant must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating in a team environment

The position requires travel, including periods of frequent travel for critical program assembly, integration, and test activities.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

 

Other Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have more than (5) five years of hardware experience directly related to propulsion and testing.

Preferred candidates will also have experience and/or working knowledge with:

  • Fluid systems pressurized up to 6,000 psi;
  • Instrumentation such as pressure transducers, flow meters, load cells, and strain gages; and
  • A variety of rocket engine propellants and/or solid motors.
  • Hydrogen peroxide as a rocket propellant is highly beneficial for some projects.

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
