Position Description

In anticipation of NASA awarding the Human Landing System (HLS) contract in the near future, Dynetics Space Systems Division is seeking qualified engineers and analysts to support NASA programs including HLS that will put the first woman and next man on the Moon. We are seeking project engineers, systems engineers, test engineers, electrical/mechanical engineers, stress/structural engineers, and analysts to join a diverse team in support of the development of a Human Lander System that will take us back to the surface of the Moon by 2024.

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking talented Project Schedulers to join a diverse, highly skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving space systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective intelligence, engineering, and scientific solutions.

The Project Schedulers will support the Dynetics Space Systems Division with development of HLS with primary responsibility for project planning and scheduling support for medium to large aspects of system development. Candidates will help plan and set up projects; develop project schedules, including resource loading; coordinate project tasks; monitor work progress and compare to budgets and baselines; analyze schedule variances; and update baselines as needed. They will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Candidate must have at least three (3) years of project planning and scheduling experience.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and with Microsoft Project.

Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

 

Other Qualifications

Preference will be shown to candidates who possess experience with Primavera and/or other scheduling software.

Preference will be shown to candidates who have experience and/or knowledge of the following:

  • Earned Value Management (EVM) on government contracts
  • Serving as lead scheduler for projects, especially those requiring EVM
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly with Deltek COBRA
  • Working as part of multi-company and multi-organizational development teams
  • NASA or other aerospace development projects
  • Product development cycles through qualification and production
  • Spaceflight hardware development projects, particularly with large-scale, human-rated spaceflight hardware

 

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
