Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Capture Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Capture Manager will provide strategies for executing successful new business captures and pipeline management for Dynetics’ Product Development and Manufacturing Division in support of US Department of Defense electronics and aerospace hardware development business.

The position will develop and implement capture plans, define capture team resource requirements and costs associated with bid, and will identify, train, and mentor capture team members to ensure necessary support elements are available.  They will also assess capabilities, strengths and weaknesses and will be responsible for the development of capture strategies and marketing philosophies.  This will include development of winning technical and price proposal strategies.  The position will also prepare and present recommendations (i.e. go/no go) to senior management. 

The Capture Manager will represent Dynetics to new and existing customers, negotiate teaming agreements, develop and present capability briefings, and represent the division on corporate strategic opportunities. Successful candidates will represent Dynetics in a positive, ethical manner in all dealings with customers and the community at large, and project professionalism and cooperation.

Candidates must be capable of strategic interaction with prospective customers to understand high-level technical requirements, issues, and price sensitivities, and to communicate the key features of potential solutions to customer requirements. The position will also lead business pipeline management for the division, including pipeline reporting.

 

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related discipline or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Candidate must have at least seven (7) years of experience in a business capture or proposal development environment.

Candidate must have work experience leading captures greater than $50M

Candidate must have experience in capture or execution of hardware development programs.

Candidates must have experience with executive gate/bar review presentations.

Candidate must have experience in corporate reporting or pipeline management/analysis.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience with Federal Government procurements.

Position requires candidates to travel.

Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

 

Other Qualifications

Candidate should have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving experience and possess the ability to represent Dynetics hardware solutions to potential customers.

Candidate should have the ability to:

  • Effectively lead multiple, concurrent business development efforts in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
  • Plan, delegate, integrate, and communicate capture plans.
  • Communicate effectively with executive management and technical staff.

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge with:

  • Proposal management.
  • Supporting firm fixed price proposals for large aerospace prime contractors.
  • Congressional budget tracking, performing Price-to-Win analysis and competitive intelligence activities and/or experience generating risk adjusted cost analysis.

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
