Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a skilled firmware engineer to join our team to create industry leading hardware solutions for electronic warfare and radar test. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Engineer in this role will support the development and integration of Dynetics PhantomRF digital RF memory (DRFM) product line and related technologies. Responsibilities include field programmable gate array (FPGA) firmware and real-time software development, algorithm development, and support of ground-based and airborne field testing with of radar sensors.IND3
-Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited school with a strong demonstration of the skills listed below.
-Candidate must be skilled in Xilinx FPGA firmware development and possess fundamental knowledge in one or more of the following:
-Proficiency in multi-threaded C++ software development on a real-time Linux platform
-High-speed digital design, interfacing via PCIe bus, high-speed JESD204B data converters, Xilinx Aurora
-Working knowledge of RF electronics and the use of RF test equipment
-Understanding of radar signal processor and electronic warfare concepts
-Comfortable developing and/or understanding digital signal and data processing algorithms in Matlab and/or Python
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
- Candidate must be able to travel to support intermittent field / flight testing at CONUS test ranges (approximately 4-6 weeks per year, with each trip being at most 2-3 weeks)
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
