The Strategic Programs office of Dynetics Technical Solutions, Inc. (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, Inc., is seeking a qualified Production Lead for its hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day assembly and production of Hypersonic Glide Bodies (HGB). This position will work closely with the Program Operations Team to coordinate technician support of electrical and mechanical assembly, integration and test across all stages of production. The candidate will work closely with the Program Site Lead to establish program organization, performance to the schedule, executing program milestones and setting up of a state-of-the-art test and integration laboratories. The candidate will be working as part of and leading the technician team whose work will include assembly and test of electronic/avionic components, hardware-in-the-loop, hypersonic flight vehicles, sub-system testing and troubleshooting. The candidate will coordinate with engineering and management to plan production goals, assist with the development of work cells, efficient processes and product flows. The candidate will assist with design implementations and improvements, mentor technicians, and assure adequate training and skill development. Work will be conducted in an integration/production facility along with a laboratory environment.
An Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing field is required. Candidate should have at least 10+ years of relevant experience.
In lieu of an associate’s degree, the candidate should have 15+ years of directly applicable experience with a High School diploma or GED and the following skills/abilities:
Experience supervising floor operations, distribution of job assignments and organizing operations to meet schedule requirements
Basic skills with PCs, test equipment, and hand tools
Work with a team of engineers and technicians in a fast paced, quality critical environment
Have organizational skills to document work and support configuration management of the production activities
Candidate must be a resident of, or willing to relocate to, the Albuquerque, NM area. There is potential for future assignment to Huntsville, AL or to be based out of Huntsville, AL with temporary assignment to Albuquerque, NM.
The ideal candidate would have 15+ years of experience in electronics/avionics/environmental manufacturing with missile or aviation products and have a current DoD Secret clearance.
Strong leadership skills, strong collaboration skills to work with cross functional team members, experience executing and leading test efforts, experience working in a highly deadline-driven environment, experience documenting test efforts and reporting out to the team, passion for leading and motivating others and strong initiative.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or higher.
