Space Systems Division is seeking engineers to join a diverse team in support of the development of a prototype rocket-powered countermeasure test fixture that will assist the U.S. Air Force in testing aircraft flares and other devices.
The Project Engineer will support the Dynetics Space Systems Division with development of DOTC Sled with primary responsibility for planning, establishing, tracking, and executing complex tasks within technical, schedule, and budget constraints and will report to leadership and program management on project progress. Candidates will work with customers and suppliers to ensure tasks are completed on time and budget. Candidates will also interface with other project engineers/managers, mechanical designers, component engineers, test engineers, safety, and quality with Dynetics. Candidate will work in a team environment to support design through development and prototype implementation.IND2
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least three (3) years of experience in hardware development and implementation.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience with complex system engineering practices and processes.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience with thermal, fluid, and mechanical systems engineering, analysis, and testing.
Position requires candidates to be capable of understanding development program data deliverable requirements.
Candidates must be able to work with suppliers to help them meet both hardware and non-hardware deliverable requirements.
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
The position requires travel, including periods of frequent travel for critical program assembly, integration, and test activities.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
