Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Senior Engineering Program Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Senior Engineering Program Manager will support the development and execution of key aerospace system programs for fast-paced design, development, test, and production of air launched strike systems, unmanned aerial systems, and integrated weapon systems. Additional responsibilities will include working closely with program support personnel to manage cost and schedule as well as with multiple engineering disciplines. Candidate will also be required to lead and participate in proposals, budget forecasting, project scheduling, staffing of projects and other leadership roles in addition to execution activities.


Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience with technical project leadership and management of aerospace and DOD hardware programs.

Candidate must be able to write technical reports and to present results to a multi-disciplined team.

Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge with:

  • Leadership of cross-functional teams
  • Military Service
  • Weapons and/or Unmanned Aerial System Expertise
  • Experience with scheduling
  • Tracking project costs
  • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical design
  • Knowledge of process improvement and control

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
