Dynetics Technical Solutions, Inc. (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, Inc., is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The person in this position will be the lead Manufacturing Engineer for one area of the Hypersonics program. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing, documenting, and executing manufacturing processes and procedures for electronic, electromechanical and mechanical products ideally with detailed knowledge and experience in a 5-axis machining environment. Applicant will work with multi-disciplinary team to develop a wide variety of hardware. Candidate will support tasks such as review and approval of engineering drawings, bills of materials, customer quality requirements, and work instructions; participation in design reviews; and execution of manufacturing activities. Candidate will be required to work closely with the design team to complete all details of the design, to prepare the design for release to manufacturing, and to support supply chain with raw material and machined component procurement and vendor support. Candidate will also work closely with our quality team to develop processes that validate customer quality requirements.
Candidate must be capable of reading and interpreting mechanical/integration drawings including GD&T and understand the working nature of MRP/ERP systems. Applicant must be able to create a bill of materials based on drawings and specs as well as create and maintain standardized work instructions based on drawing and specification reviews. This position will be required to provide floor support for integration, test, and assembly efforts and will be required to work closely with design team, quality control, and manufacturing personnel.
Candidate must have a BS degree in engineering from an accredited university or ten (10) or more years of applicable experience to satisfy the BS degree and experience requirement.
Candidate must also have at least five (5) years of manufacturing engineering experience on the following:
Preferred candidate will have experience with electronics and mechanical components used on launch vehicles, targets, or missile components, and with production of cable harnesses, electronics, and electromechanical assemblies. Experience in system engineering is a plus. Ability to provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates, Basis of Estimate (BOE) documents, and other documents used to support proposal efforts will be preferred. Experience in project management is a plus. Experience with Costpoint Material Planning software and/or Agile engineering design data management software is a plus. Proficiency in CAD is a plus. Experience in various quality roles is also a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
