Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Thermal & Fluids Analyst to join a diverse, highly skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving space systems. The Thermal & Fluids Analyst will support the Dynetics Space Systems Division with development of structural and mechanical systems for the NASA SLS Program. Primary responsibility includes performing detailed thermal/aerothermal analysis and compartment venting analysis. The Thermal & Fluid Analyst will interface with subsystem design leads and other subsystem analysts/engineers, mechanical designers, component engineers, test engineers, safety, reliability, other subsystem engineers, and ground system engineering teams. Candidates will support test planning and test data analysis and completion of verification/validation documents and reports to support vehicle certification. Candidates will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation.IND3
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least (3) three years of thermal- and fluid-system hardware-related experience.
Candidates must have experience with thermal, fluid, and mechanical systems engineering and analysis.
Candidate must have knowledge of the commercial thermal and fluid analysis tools (e.g. Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, ANSYS, etc.)
Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to deliver results in a team environment and independently.
Candidates must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must be able to write technical reports and have experience presenting to a multi-disciplined team.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate
Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
