Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Principle Project Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

This position will manage a multi-person systems development team, developing software, performing systems integration, test, evaluation, deployment, and sustainment of systems. The systems developed are related to Unmanned Aerial Systems, geospatial data dissemination, full motion video sensors, tactical networks, system test, and open standards. This position will be responsible for ensuring project technical and financial performance, customer interaction, and development and delivery of project CDRLs, including project schedule, PDR, CDR, TRR, hardware and software delivery, and all appropriate documentation.

Candidate must be willing to take direction, and have the interest, and experience in managing projects with a staff of 10 - 20 individuals. Candidate must have enough technical insight to understand the state of the project, determine weak points, and address them ahead of time. The candidate must be capable of taking abstract tasking and turning it into a concrete plan with actionable and measurable steps.

Candidate must be equipped to interact with customers, and go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, including Engineering, Math, Physics, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related.

Candidate must have 5 years of experience managing multi-person projects in a DoD environment.

Candidate must have 2 years’ experience successfully managing a project with budget greater than 2M/year and a staff of 10 or larger.

Candidate must have strong organizational skills and an interest in engineering process. Candidate must have good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with multiple customers.

Candidate must have experience working in a formal program environment, and an interest in managing projects in these environments.

Candidate must be willing to travel (up to 25%) and proactively engage with customers to ensure great customer relationships and full customer satisfaction.
 

 

Other Qualifications

Master’s degree is a plus.

Master’s degree in a technical discipline is a plus.

PMP certification is a plus.

Experience with Agile/SCRUM development is a plus

Experience with DoD Cyber Security Standards, including RMF, is a plus

Desire to lead, own and grow a program is a plus.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.   Willingness and ability to upgrade to TS/SCI is a plus.
