Position Description

Dynetics Technical Solutions (DTS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking a talented Administrative Assistant to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, DTS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and manufacturing solutions.

As an integral member of the team, the candidate will work closely with all levels and types of staff found in a corporate environment - including quality, engineering, and technical staff, executives and customers. Therefore, a professional demeanor and good communications skills are required. Candidate will support the Quality Organization and specifically the DTS Quality Manager/Quality Lead.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be able to use and interpret engineering drawings, identify gauging requirements, order gauges, and understand and write inspection procedures

  • Must be able to read and interpret routers, job travelers, fab requests, requisitions, and purchase orders.

  • Be familiar visual, dimensional, and data inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies

  • Be familiar with mechanical inspections using microscopes, micrometers, thread gauges, gauge blocks, pin gauges, comparators, surface plates, and height gauges

  • Must be able to follow and execute verbal and written instructions

  • Complete assignments independent of supervision

  • Exercise sound time management, planning/organizational and decision-making skills

  • Ensure tools are accounted for and functional and documented in the gauge recall system

  • Update inspection documentation (check sheets) as required

  • Must have worked in an AS9100 facility dealing with manufacturing for NASA, DOD, MDA, and other government agencies

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, color code, Bill of Materials and detailed blueprints

  • Familiar with inspection tools and measuring instruments

  • Computer literate with abilities in MS products, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Other Qualifications

  • Associates Degree preferred but not required

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Two years of related experience preferred

  • Works in manufacturing environment with constant or intermittent noise

  • Ability to stand or sit at a bench for extended periods; bend, crouch, sit or kneel to work

  • Lift to 25 pounds

  • Ability to distinguish color

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
