Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Mechanical CAD Librarian to join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving space systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective intelligence, engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Mechanical CAD Librarian will support Dynetics' development of Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and metadata to support activities across multiple programs. Candidate will generate component models using 3D CAD software. Candidate will maintain the component library for 3D CAD model configuration within the PDM and PLM systems per defined standards and procedures. Position requires meticulous attention to detail in ensuring the 3D components and their associated metadata are setup and configured correctly in the data management systems.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess an Associate’s Degree in Drafting, Design or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

 

In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of (3) three years of experience in a position working with parametric 3D CAD tools is required.

 

Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

 

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Preferred candidates will also have experience and/or working knowledge with:

 

  • SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, NX, or Creo or other parametric 3D CAD software systems.
  • Commercial PDM and/or PLM packages
  • Certifications for Mechanical CAD Systems

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
