Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Lead Engineer System Test and Evaluation to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Lead System Engineer Test and Evaluation will develop Master Test and Evaluation Plans based on requirements specifications derived from customer needs for integration and testing of a new missile variant for the DoD. The selected candidate will interface directly with program management and a team of multi-discipline design and development engineers to support a program’s systems engineering needs for a complex and thorough test and evaluation program. The candidate must be able to develop test and evaluation strategies utilizing models, simulations, analyses, tests and demonstrations. A firm understanding of missile system architectures, system interfaces, performance requirements verification and validation techniques is essential for the candidate. The selected candidate will present the test plans and related artifacts they have developed to the customer in formal design reviews and will serve as a customer liaison in test and evaluation IPTs.
The Lead System Engineer Test and Evaluation will be supporting a major missile program where Dynetics is the prime contractor. In addition, the selected candidate will support multiple smaller programs at once, as well as develop Dynetics overall test and evaluation capabilities. The candidate will join a diverse team of multi-discipline engineers within Dynetics and must be an excellent communicator and leader.
The Lead System Engineer Test and Evaluation will also be encouraged to mentor junior systems engineers and be instrumental in maturing Dynetics systems engineering processes.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Physics, Computer Science equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidates must have at least eight (15) years of experience supporting DoD, NASA, or commercial programs, and a minimum of five years of experience in missile integration and test.
The candidate must have experience in deriving requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems.
The candidate must have experience with DOORS and/or other requirements database tools.
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
