Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, has been selected by NASA to participate in the development and demonstration of a Human Landing System (HLS). Dynetics is seeking project engineers, systems engineers, mechanical design engineers, electrical engineers, structural and thermal analysts, manufacturing engineers, test engineers, technicians, and operators to join a diverse team in support of the development of the HLS that will carry the first woman and next man to the Moon by 2024.
As the Deputy Propulsion IPT Lead you will help guide a team of passionate and accomplished experts in delivering the propulsion system for the Dynetics Human Lander System. You will be actively involved in project management, customer interactions, and the project technical efforts. This position will directly contribute to building the lander that puts the first woman and next man on the moon.
Support the Propulsion IPT Lead in planning, execution, and direction of the project, and in coordinating the efforts of engineers in the performance of assigned projects
Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, both from internally derived goals and constraints and from customer contracts and statements-of-work
Coordinate multiple sub-teams and subcontractors towards success of overall effort
Monitor technical progress, requirements, budget, schedule, deliverables and risks and review recommendations for change with program management
Support the development of specifications, requirements and management of production of hardware
Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering with Program and Project Management training
7 plus years industry experience, 2 years in progressive project management roles
Demonstrated experience leading and managing small teams on fast-paced projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in budget management and reporting
Leadership and management experience as well as a history of mentoring
Experience with IMP/IMS, risk management, configuration management, requirements management processes
Experience with Earned Value Management
MBA or MS in engineering management
Experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle
Experience with human spaceflight or high performance aircraft systems
Demonstrated technical expertise in spacecraft, launch vehicle, or aircraft development; including one or more of the following: human spaceflight, liquid rocket engines, fluid/mechanical systems, structures and tanks, avionics, and systems engineering and integration.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
