Position Description

Dynetics Technical Solutions (DTS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking a motivated and talented Administrative Assistant to join a diverse team focused on manufacturing of complex products. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Administrative Assistant will support the teams located in our Fulfillment Team and various Manufacturing Facilities as needed. As an integral member of the team, the selected candidate will work closely with all levels and types of staff found in a corporate environment - including engineering and technical staff, executives and customers. Therefore, a professional demeanor and good communications skills are required. Ethical behavior and the ability to be trusted with confidential data and other corporate matters is critical.

This position will perform administrative functions in support of the DTS Fulfillment Department with Configuration Management, Materials Planning, Material Management and Continuous Improvement. The position will have responsibility for Safety awareness, training coordination, Visual Management display updates, Quality record keeping and new employee coordination. Other duties include inventory control and planning of mechanical components. Quality record keeping duties will include generation of monthly status reports, and documentation of metrics.

Key duties will include but not limited to the following:

  • Scanning of CM documentation into database for Quality record keeping
  • Tracking Manufacturing Routers through the build process
  • Printing Manufacturing Routers
  • Coordinating Redlines and Changes to Manufacturing Routers
  • Establishing Metrics for Configuration Management (CM) functions
  • Drafting of meeting agendas and PowerPoint presentations
  • Monitoring department timesheet and training completion
  • Working with other administrative staff supporting corporate or departmental events

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a related field (Lean, Production Control or Logistics, Manufacturing Process Technologies or Elementary Education) is highly desired
  • Candidate should have previous material “STOCK” experience
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a Passion for Excellence and possess a Customer 1st mentality
  • Candidate must be coachable in regard to Value Stream/Core Team concepts and implementation into a Manufacturing Operation
  • Candidate must have strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong personal organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the North Alabama, AL area

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to work with department leadership to contribute to strategic planning and long-term vision for the Fulfillment team
  • Implementation of Material Traceability & Bar Code Scanning (e.g., lot and/or date code tracking)
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree is a plus

Security Requirements

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
