Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking an Air and Missile Defense Senior Systems Architect. The candidate hired will work as a member of an Army Project Office (PO) Systems Engineering Team to develop architectures, interfaces, and system/software designs in support of existing, evolving, and future capabilities for Army Integrated Mission Command systems and the integration of new weapons and sensors into the Army Air and Missile defense architecture.
Potential products include, but are not limited to: architectural concepts and trades; technical assessments of other AMD systems or components; system design and analysis artifacts for capabilities; system design and analysis artifacts for the interface of new weapons and sensors into the Integrated Fire Control Network (IFCN); development and allocation of performance requirements within IFMC and across the IFCN interface; reviewing, analyzing, and contributing to the IFMC system model; and providing engineering guidance to the Agile software development teams. The position may include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on recommended courses of action, trade studies, system architecture and design, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
-The candidate must be very familiar with AMD concepts and must have both architecture and design experience.
-The candidate must have experience in at least two of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, embedded software, real-time software, near real-time software, or distributed software.
-The candidate should be familiar with SysML and modeling tools, such as MagicDraw; object oriented analysis and design; must be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset; must be proficient navigating and extracting data from requirements databases.
-Must have a Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics,
-Must have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above,
-The ideal candidate will have specific knowledge and experience with one (1) or more of the following systems: AMD kill chain, Composite Tracking (CT), Combat Identification (CID), Identify Friend or Foe (IFF), Integrated Defense Design (IDD), Link-16, cyber, automation of embedded testing, or direct IFMC experience.
-An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. The ability to “move out” with your ideas, architectures, and designs; enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude are important, as well as the ability to adapt to change in an Agile development environment.
-As part of the government team you will be the design agent for this team: the prime contractor develops the code based upon YOUR government provided architectures, designs, and interfaces.
-Candidate must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocat to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
