Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a System Engineering Agile Automation Subject Matter Expert. The candidate hired will work as a member of an Army Project Office (PO) System Engineering (SE) Directorate team to lead, develop, document, instantiate, and institutionalize tools, automation, and processes to facilitate an effective and efficient Agile System Engineering Research and Development team. The System Engineering team is growing, is transitioning from a typical SETA government oversight role to a SAFe Agile development environment, and as such, this position is critical to the team’s success. The position will include, but not limited to, tool integration and automation to the maximum extent possible, automation of generation of engineering documentation, tailored processes equivalent to a CMMI-DEV Level 3 engineering organization, documentation of SE processes, institutionalization of processes and tool automation, the System Engineering Directorate’s metrics input to the Agile dashboard, and on-call data requests as needed. The position requires the ability to understand the needs and products of stakeholders (i.e., the System Engineering Director, System Architect, Model Based Systems Engineers (MBSE), algorithm designers and analysts, requirements analysts, and all SE team members) and to creatively supplement those with tools and processes to make the team more effective and efficient. This is a very critical position that is necessary to increase productivity of the designers and maintain a fast DevSecOps cadence.
-The candidate must be familiar with engineering tools such as requirements databases (e.g., DOORSTM), Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) (e.g., MagicDraw), collaboration (e.g., Jira and Confluence), configuration and data management (e.g., Windchill), office productivity (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and automatic report and documentation generation tools.
-The candidate must have experience integrating different toolsets and/or using relational databases (e.g., Access, SQL Server) to produce a custom result.
-The candidate must have experience programming with at least one scripting language and the ability to learn more languages as needed to perform the duties of the position.
-The candidate must be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
-The candidate must be familiar with CMMI-DEV concepts and practices in an engineering environment.
-The candidate must have proven success in the above qualifications, especially integration of toolsets, in at least one mid to large scale engineering development environment. The candidate’s measure of success will be the System Engineering team’s improved productivity and overall satisfaction.
Candidate must have a four-year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college (ABET preferred), and must have a minimum of 4 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
The candidate must be creative, self-starting, enthusiastic, independent critical thinking, team oriented, willing to try new technologies, and results oriented. The ideal candidate will have experience with DOORSTM, MagicDraw, Jira, Confluence, Windchill, and the Microsoft Office Suite. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a CMMI-DEV Level 3 engineering environment. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and using an Agile dashboard.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
