Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Technology (RP&M) Lead who will champion advanced technology projects in the Dynetics group as well as serve as a champion for RP&M across Leidos to document, house, reference, and communicate Leidos innovative and differentiated technology and capability in RP&M. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, health, civil and intelligence domains Leidos provides responsive, cost effective, intelligence, engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Dynetics group has a number of developmental programs which are candidates for RP&M. These programs are early TRL or MRL activities, which vary from advanced materials synthesis to weapon systems that integrate into a larger battle management framework. Subsystems and components will be reviewed for inclusion in an RP&M activity. It is envisioned that a number of technology transition activities will be engaged with national labs and/or academia. The RP&M lead will participate in both planning and execution of these projects and programs.
The successful RP&M candidate will manage the Leidos RP&M Center of Excellence and be a RP&M technology and capability thought leader. The Lead will form and chair the RP&M Council comprised of one RP&M individual from each Group. The Lead will work to develop, implement, and support the Leidos RP&M strategy, support the Leidos Office of Technology (OOT) Technical Strategy, and all Group Strategies with respect to RP&M. The Lead will develop and manage the Leidos RP&M “playbooks.” The Lead will establish subject matter experts (SME) relationships and capability understanding across the entire Leidos enterprise in the area of RP&M. The Lead will be the primary interface for RP&M to the OOT, the Technical Core Competency (TCC) Leads, and other Technical Enablers, and will work with them to implement their strategies. The Lead will help to develop the Leidos RP&M and Technology and Capability Story for internal and external marketing activities.
Candidate must possess a Degree (PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree.
Candidate should have at least ten (10) years of experience in managing and creating technical solutions with emphasis on production activities where rapid prototyping and/or advanced manufacturing techniques were incorporated
Candidate must have familiarity with electronics, integration of electronic systems into complex systems and structures.
Candidate must have a proven track record of implementing differentiated RP&M solutions and technologies at speed and scale with security, especially in the areas of:
Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Top Secret Clearance.
