Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Telemetry Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The successful candidate will serve as a Telemetry Engineer that will handle all aspects of telemetry encoder components leading to production of a missile. The candidate will support production and test of flight hardware along with developing the equipment and tools to support the production process. The candidate will support/oversee development of test equipment and test processes as well as review of test results. This includes setup/operation of decommutation equipment and working with other IPT areas to collect and review data, and assisting with Technical Data Package documentation of missile telemetry components. In addition, the candidate will need to support equipment installation and testing during AI&T process, including troubleshooting and potential onsite repairs/rework. The candidate will assist in preparation of RFP for component manufacturing, including parts management, quality, and documentation, and establishing test requirements along with providing supplier surveillance during manufacturing and testing to include Non-Compliance Reports and quality issues. Work will be conducted in an integration/production facility along with a laboratory environment
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field from an ABET accredited school is required.
Candidate should have at least 10+ years of relevant experience.
The following skills/abilities are desired:
· Experience with Ethernet, communications, Pulse Code Modulation and CAN bus
· Knowledge of CCSDS and IRIG 106 telemetry
· Organizational skills to document cable designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of missile flight computer and telemetry components
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
