Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Flight Termination Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The successful candidate will serve as a Flight Termination Engineer that will handle all aspects of flight termination systems (FTS) and range safety associated with missile flight tests. The candidate will support assessment and design of FTS test equipment, review missile system documentation to assess application specific FTS circuitry, and flight termination receiver testing in accordance with RCC-313. Candidate will review and modify FTS related work instructions in support of missile production to include resolving data gaps and deriving requirements. Support testing of Autonomous Flight Safety System related equipment. Assist in procurement preparation for component manufactures to include parts management, quality, documentation, and test requirements.
Provide supplier surveillance during missile production and testing and manage non-compliance reports. Support/oversee development of test equipment and test processes as well as review test data to include setup/operation of test equipment and possible testing at environmental test labs.
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field from an ABET accredited school is required.
Candidate should have at least 10+ years of relevant experience.
The following skills/abilities are desired:
· Experience with RCC-313, RCC-319, RCC-321, and RCC-324
· Experience with flight termination receivers, safety systems, power systems and RF systems
· Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of missile flight computer components
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
