Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the U.S. engaging in the intelligence, missiles, aviation, space, and cyber fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions.
In this position, the Project Engineer will facilitate and manage the successful completion of defense, civil, and commercial space-related tasks. Specific tasks will involve development and testing of diverse space technologies, subsystems, and systems.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Possess a Bachelor's of Science in in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidates must have at least two (2) years experience with engineering practices and processes, including the product development cycle through qualification and production.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office software tools, including project planning and scheduling and experience with Microsoft Project.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment and have experience mentoring team members.
The position requires some, infrequent travel.
Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Preferred candidates will have at least three (3) years of space hardware-related experience.
Preferred candidates will also have experience and/or working knowledge with:
Mechanical systems engineering, design and analysis of other space systems.
Leading the development and testing of space hardware and/or subsystems
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
