Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Spaceflight Avionics Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The successful Lead Avionics Engineer will support the Dynetics Space Division in the development of a human lander system and support equipment, primarily responsible for leading a team of engineers in developing an avionics command and data management system architecture, analysis of functional and physical electrical interfaces, and the delivery of space qualified system designs. The position requires use of electrical computer aided design software, professional trade knowledge in the science of electrical/electronic designs, and other analysis tools to produce avionics systems designs. This includes collecting data to determine supplier capabilities and in supporting the development of statements of work. Candidate will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation, and should be able to assist and/or lead engineering design disposition on drawing discrepancies.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least 10+ years direct experience in role as detailed above with an engineering company or system integrator where design, testing, and/or modification of aerospace systems was involved.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within and performing a leadership role in a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
